About Me
I love music, children and teaching! And have spent the last 20 years sharing joy in all three. As a high school and adult choir director, elementary school music teacher, church organist, handbell choir director and private piano and voice teacher, my life has been filled with music and joy.
My Musical Education Background
Degrees include Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Piano students use a set of 6 books, giving them plenty of variety and reinforcement of new techniques.
Voice students learn solid breathing techniques and enjoy singing Broadway, folk, sacred and popular songs.
Lesson Rates
$20 for 30 minute lesson. Discount given for multiple family members. Please pay for the month the first week of the month.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Piano students accepted at age 6. Voice students accepted at age 10. Adults accepted at any age!
My Certifications and Awards
Former students have competed successfully for college music scholarships, Solo/Ensemble contests, lead musical roles and All-State Choir placements.
My Musical Influences
My college choir director taught me that music is truly beautiful when the technique that supports the performance has been well rehearsed and given from the heart.
