About Me

My name is Nick Haemker and I have taught piano for over 10 years and have been playing for over 20 years. I started taking lessons when I was 11 years old in September of 1999. From that moment on, I discovered my love and passion for the piano and classical music. I continued my education in piano and music theory all the way through college. I like to provide a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for all of my students. You can be assured that you will always finish a lesson with something new you learned that day. In my free time, I enjoy writing music and playing music together with my fiancee, who plays guitar and cello. 

My Musical Education Background

Over 20 years of playing piano. Played percussion in an orchestra at Las Positas College for two years. Spent two years learning pipe organ. Have written multiple compositions including piano music, small ensembles and popular songs.

Genres and Subjects Taught

Teach classical, jazz, pop, pop, rock, pop, Disney songs. Music theory and musicianship skills.

Lesson Rates

Following rates are for online only. Please contact me for in person lesson pricing.

$120 for one month of 30 minute lessons.(One lesson a week)

$180 for one month of 45 minute lessons.(One lesson a week)

$240 for one month of 60 minute lessons.(One lesson a week)

I can teach beginner and intermediate students, ages 7 to adults.
