About Me
All levels and ages are welcome in my studio! I strive to maintain a diverse and comprehensive piano studio by including children, early teens, high school, and adults with varying interests and abilities. Although I came from a strict classical background, I am happy teaching, performing, and enjoying all styles of music with my students from classical to Rock and movie tunes to Jazz. My Musical Education Background
I currently teach piano as the director of NYC-pianists in New York, NY. Winner of Granquist Piano Competition in 2010, I have performed in numerous concert halls and piano competitions in New York, Chicago, Ohio, Iowa of the United States and Tokyo, Yokohama, and Chiba of Japan. I have extensive experience of teaching private piano to children and adults of beginner through advanced levels. A graduate of Northwestern College, I studied under Dr. Brian Lee and Dr. Juyeon Kang as a recipient of the Harold McGilvra Scholarship. I've served as piano faculty member at Fox River Academy in Chicagoland in 2007-2011. Moved to New York with my wife in 2011, I enjoy performing, teaching, and attending concerts in New York City.
