About Me
I'm a full time guitarist, session player, songwriter, and music educator living in the Detroit area. I play lead guitar for a touring funk rock band called The Infatuations who have received over 10 Detroit Music Awards including Outstanding Live Performance, Outstanding Urban/Funk recording and Outstanding Rock/Pop Songwriters. Our single "Back Again" was recently featured on the NBC series "Chicago Fire", and our song "Down Jefferson" was featured in the movie "Misled". I also compose and produce music for publishers both in the US and the UK and license my music for TV/Film and various media outlets. My music is featured on MTV, Vh1, NBC, Netflix, Fuse, Nat Geo, TLC, Fox Sports, Bravo, ESPN and others.
My Musical Education Background
- I have a degree from Michigan State University and have been teaching guitar privately for over 15 years.
- I'm a very patient teacher with an excellent track record of student success! I have several students who would be happy to speak to you as a reference for me so feel free to email me for a reference list.
- I enjoy working with students of all ages and skill levels from beginners to professionals seeking performance coaching.
- I currently teach over 20 private students per week, and I do performance coaching/mentoring with several up and coming artists as well as my student band "The Monsoons"
