About Me

Hello! My name is Mischa Yolleck. I'm a classical guitarist who has studied with world-renowned guitarists from the United States, Cuba, and Chile. While serving in the US Peace Corps, I was invited to play in the International Guitar Festival of the Dominican Republic. While under the instruction of Cuban virtuoso, Rubén Gonzalez Ávila, I took masterclasses with Jorge Luis Zamora, Andrew Zohn, and Congyi Zhang. Prior to that, I had studied with Esteban Espinoza (Chile) and Brett Grigsby (USA), during which I took masterclasses with the Brazilian Guitar Duo and Dale Kavanaugh. I currently under the mentorship of Julliard faculty member and chair of Guitar Studies at the Manhattan School of Muisc, Mark Delpriora. My experience studying with these master guitarist is the foundation for my musical pedagogy.

As a teacher, I have taught primarily students age 8-14. I am, however, open to taking students of all ages. Although I focus on teaching classical technique and repertoire, I am willing to help my students apply this learning to other musical styles too.

I am an enthusiastic and easygoing music teacher. I hope to hear from you and help you advance your musicianship to the next level!
