About Me
Meg is dedicated to teaching students who want to learn how to play the piano to the best of their ability. She is also dedicated to improving her own playing and teaching skills and has earned certification as a piano pedagogue through the WPPInstitiute with N. Jane Tan. Meg is a member of the 5-piano team, "Armonioso", and has performed regularly both as soloist and in the ensemble. Her love for music extends beyond piano to composing works for various instruments, practicing and teaching harp, and playing the flute. Meg's piano teaching style has been described as "effective" and "loving". She develops the students listening ear through singing and possesses a beautiful, solid tone in her own playing. Meg's piano playing has been described as "a pianist with solid musicality and creative experiences which enrich her natural talents", and as a "free artist at the piano".

My Musical Influences
My son, Jesse, a precise and driven drummer, inspires me to work hard at improving my technical skills, and has given me a great appreciation for rhythmic complexities and the artistry of drumming. My son, Aaron, an innovative composer, pianist, and clarinetist, inspires me to be true to myself and never settle for mediocrity.
Brahms, Schumann, Copland, Kreisler, Telemann, are among my favorite composers. The ancient music of Scotland and Ireland runs in my blood. American Bluegrass and Appalachian music keeps my foot tapping.
Attending premier performances of new musical works inspires me to continue creating.
Native American flute, the spiritual singing of Julie True, and the lyrics of Twila Paris inspire me to worship God and remind me their is always something greater than myself to hope in and to look forward to.

Miss Meg is very experienced and very nice and patient teacher. She teaches according to the students learning ability and helps them to do their best. Her students learn to play very skillfully and confidently. The lesson is an enjoyment for the student. Miss Meg does not just tell the student what to do, she interacts and plays with the student. She nurtures the student as she teaches. She is the best teacher for the beginner or for the experienced student.
