About Me
Hello! I teach piano and flute lessons from my West Palm Beach music studio. I've been teaching for 30 years and absolutely love to introduce children to the world of music. I am classically trained and enjoy movie music and and musicals. I specialize in the young beginner, but can teach advanced repertoire as well. Together with my son, Tom, (who teaches classical and jazz piano), we make up Willow Music. We have a "music club" type atmosphere where children are encouraged to make friends who also love music. They are even encouraged to form small ensembles. We have 2 recitals a year and offer other performance opportunties, yearly challenges and composers of the month.
My Musical Education Background
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY
I continue to learn about education and music by attending numerous workshops and conventions.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach classical, movie music and musicals on piano and flute.
Tom teaches Jazz, classical and rock genres on piano.
We participate in and prepare students for Florida's Student Day program which evaluates students in their written music theory, aural theory and performance skills.
We run a Composer Camp during the summer, where students create their own compositions.
We prepare students for talent show, competitions, auditions and other performances.
Lesson Rates
We use a tuition basis for billing. Lessons are billed per term (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
You are always welcome to speak to us about arranging a payment plan.
The hourly rate is $60
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
We teach students from age 4 to 80 and beyond!

My Certifications and Awards
I am an active member of the Music Teachers' National Association,
the Florida State Music Teachers' Association, and am a board member of
the Palm Beach County Music Teachers' Association.
I perform frequently in the Palm Beach County area, coordinate a Concert Series, and have
been a presenter at Music Teachers' Association meetings.
Have also worked as a band director, general music instructor, and choir director.
My Musical Influences
My musical influences include Chopin, Debussy, Prokofiev and Poulenc.
