About Me

I was born in South Korea. I earned my bachelor degree in music at the University of Maryland. I have a bachelor's degree in piano performance and pedagogy (the art of teaching piano and certified Suzuki cello). I have taught for over 15 years & studied under the teachings of Reynald Reyes (Piano). I teach a wide range of students in the early age (pre-schoolers), teens, and even adults. I have taught a wide range of student with physical disabilities I studied abroad at the St. Petersburg state conservatory of music school by Dmitry and Yelena in Russia.

 I am a certified piano teacher and teach piano, keyboard, voice, music theory and cello. I am also a member of MTNA and State of Maryland Music Teachers Association Piano. In addition to being part of these professional memberships I am also part of the Anne Arundel County Symphony Orchestra where we've had the privilege of performing at The Kennedy Center.

As part of my continued dedication for my love of cello, I resume my education with Dr. Dan Shomper. I am very creative in my teaching methods. I use both Suzuki and traditional methods. I offer music education by offering sight-reading, memorization skills, expressiveness, music theory, early childhood piano, ear training and all other music (favorite music, popular and classical and etc.)
I have a strong passion for music and work hard to motivate my students the passion and love of music, whether young or old, and tailoring their lessons to meet their needs and goals.

Genres and Subjects Taught

Subjects: Cello, Keyboard, Piano (Blues), Piano (Classical), Piano (Pop), Piano (Suzuki Method), Singing (Musical Theater), Singing (Pop), Voice (Spoken Word) more.  I teach piano ( private and group lesson), keyboard, voice( broadway musical, pop), music theory and cello (cello choir: 4 cellos) instrument. I am a certified piano teacher.  I have a bachelor's degree in piano performance and pedagogy (the art of teaching piano and certified Suzuki cello).  I  teach private and group lesson.I teach any age student, with any level and ability. I have taught a wide range of handicapped students. I also teach many preschool and homeschool students. I have taught for over 15 years. I tailor my lessons to fit with the students' goals and interests. I have had many students who have gone into music as a career. I try to make the lessons as fun as possible. I have a grand piano and several music programs that students may enjoy.  I also use games and incentive programs. I offer several recitals per year and many other opportunities for those who are interested.

Lesson Rates

·         Pricings:
30 min: $30-$40
45 min: $40-$50
60 min: $50-$60

In-Home Lessons as also give: I am 15 miles from Suwanee in GA

I can also travel to give Lesson(s) and the student’s home.

·         Rates: it varies with distance, we can discuss this as a separate note
