About Me

I'm

a graduate with honors from Marylhurst University in Oregon and have a music degree in Guitar Performance with an extensive musical background that spans over 25 years of performing and teaching professionally.

My lessons are always fun and informative. For me the best part about teaching is getting to know each student and developing a friendship and working relationship. To see my students smile from realizing their accomplishments. For younger students learning an instrument teaches important life skills like accountability and learning how to set and achieve goals. My refined teaching methods, unlimited patience and easy going personality all contribute to enjoyable and rewarding guitar instruction.

When you take lessons with me you receive a complete music education that includes reading music, rhythms, music theory, discovering the benefits of proper technique, detailed instructions on how to practice correctly and the development of musical interpretation.

My Musical Education Background

Besides owning and operating my own private instruction studio, I've taught music theory courses for the University of Hawaii, Portland Community College and several other Music Conservatories and Music Academy's in Oregon and Hawaii.
