About Me

I am Claude Masear. I am a seasoned music teacher, and teacher of various instruments with 30 years of experience in New York State schools. I have relocated to the Knoxville TN area and I am willing to give lessons at my home studio, at the students' home or on line. I received a Doctorate of Education degree in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. During my bachelors and masters level schooling I was a frequent performer in the Itzach Perlman Master classes and I studied with the prominent violin and viola professor Masao Kawasaki. I am looking forward to teaching students in eastern Tennessee---an area known for its rich musical heritage.

• Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance and Music Education with honors; cum laude (1988). Brooklyn College(CUNY)-Conservatory of Music

All aspects of Music and Music Education. Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass, Trumpet instruction. 

Lesson Rates

Lesson rates are: $20---30 minutes lesson///$30---45 minutes lesson///$40---60 minute lesson-----for lessons at my home studio or on line.

For lessons at students' home: $30---30 minute lesson///$40---45 minute lesson///$50---60 minue lesson

My Musical Influences
