About Me

22 years of experience teaching music privately. I enjoy and teach all types of music and I love it all. I am a church musician and also play with various musical ensembles, including a woodwind quintet, an orchestra, bands, pit orchestras, etc.. I also own my own sound system and keyboards. Piano accompaniment is available for weddings, vocalists, instrumentalists, special events, and musicals. The music studio is equipped with a grand piano, and keyboards for group sessions. Instruments I own and play include, Bb soprano clarinet, A clarinet, Eb soprano clarinet, Alto saxophone, and Tenor saxophone. I enjoy working with students of all ages and have worked with children as young as 3. I have been married for 30 years and have two children. In 2010, I completed a Masters Degree in Education. My basic teaching philosophy consists mainly of helping to inspire my students and to pass on the pure joy of playing music for the sake of the music.

My Musical Influences

The main influences on my musical training were primarily my parents; and private, as well as public school music teachers. My Grandmother was a church organist and my family enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music.
