About Me

I'm Briana Lyn, a Los Angeles-based country-pop singer-songwriter and the founder of Briana Lyn Studios. With a background in diverse vocal styles—including pop, country, jazz, and classic Disney—I offer personalized programs and lessons in contemporary voice, piano, and songwriting. My approach emphasizes musicality, confidence, and creative expression, catering to both beginners and seasoned performers. Whether you're preparing for an audition, crafting original music, or enhancing your performance skills, I provide tailored sessions to help you achieve your goals.

My Musical Education Background

I'm Briana Lyn, a classically trained vocalist and pianist with a formal background in voice and piano performance. My foundational training includes classical, musical theatre and opera studies under Doreen Hutchings at the University of Northwestern, receiving a BA in Music, followed by advanced contemporary vocal technique training.  I'm also a Yamaha Certified Music Instructor with over a decade of teaching experience.

I specialize in working with both children and adults, offering personalized programs and lessons in voice, piano, and songwriting. My teaching is developmentally informed and creatively driven, helping students of all ages build technical skills, musicality, and confidence in a supportive environment.

Lessons are available online or in-person in Minneapolis and Los Angeles, and are tailored to your goals—whether you're preparing for an audition, writing original music, or building a lifelong foundation in music.

Genres and Subjects Taught

Musical Theatre, Pop, Country and other contemporary vocal styles. For piano, I focus on the contemporary styles learning how to improvise, songwrite, read music, and piano arranging.
