About Me

Full information is available at my website. FREE interview. I have over 40 years of successful experience teaching a wide variety of students in my innovative private studio. My focus is on helping students develop skills, confidence, and enjoyment. I am extremely patient and I excel at making the learning process easy and painless, allowing each student to succeed and progress at his or her own rate of speed. My most popular program, PIANO PLUS, combines private lessons, computer lab, and group activities, with three student recitals per year. For many years I have served on the piano faculty of a nearby community music school, where as chair of the music theory department I initiated a highly successful music theory component for their Suzuki academy. I am also a teaching artist in piano and theory at a local arts center. I have extensive accompanying and adjudicating experience, and have served on the executive board of several professional organizations.

My Musical Education Background

Private studies with Jacques Voois, Bela Nagy, Steven Romanio, and Yoheved Kaplinsky. Graduate studies in piano pedagogy at Westminster Choir College. Graduate studies in communications at Rowan University.Undergraduate studies at Boston University, Rowan University, and Westmister College. Suzuki training at School for Strings. Music Mind Games training with Michiko Yurko.

Genres and Subjects Taught

All lessons include reading, technique, theory, style, etc. The classical genre is my forte, but my students' repertoire includes a wide variety of genres.

A+ Piano Studio is the place for people of all ages who want enjoyable yet effective piano lessons.
