About Me
I was born with a severe hearing disability that left me unable to experience life the same as others but it has also been a blessing. I have learned, in order to truly understand music, you must feel as much as hear. This is a gift that I am passionate about sharing with my students. I believe if you teach music with excitement and energy, learning is no longer a duty but a journey.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Classes: As classes fill up, times will be designated. However, most student classes will be Monday- Friday 6:30-7:30 am. Over my years of teaching, this has been the OPTIMUM time slot because it is before school and NEVER gets in the way of other extra curricular activities. The other grade school times are Monday, 5:00-6:00 and 6:00-7:00. Adult classes will be held Monday at 11:00am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-1:00pm, 7pm-8pm, and 8pm-9pm. Times are not set in stone. I will do my best to accommodate. 1st-2nd Grade Beginner 3rd-4th Grade Beginner 5th-6th Grade Beginner 5th-6th Grade Intermediate 7th-8th Grade Beginner 7th-8th Grade Intermediate High School Beginner High school Intermediate Adult Beginner - This class is for students who have little to no experience. Adult Intermediate - This class is for students who have a firm grasp on sight reading, rhythm, and technique. Adult Performance - This is for advance students who need to keep up on skills, build repertoire, and a motivation to get their bum on the bench! :)
