About Me
Zoe Vandermeer teaches singing, harp, piano and music theory online and in person in Vernon, CT. She is dedicated to providing high quality instruction in a supportive and thoughtful environment, and encourages questions from students to best faciliate their training. She has been teaching for 20+ years singing, harp, piano, music theory, and has given masterclasses and workshops in New York City, California, and Connecticut.
Zoe is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Cosnervatoire of Scotland. She is currently engage in an online part time PhD degree in the history of vocal pedagogy at the University of Birmingham United Kingdom (remote). She performs professionally as a singer, harpist, composer, pianist, and music director. Ms. Vandermeer has performed at international festivals and concert series in Brasil, Spain, United Kingdom, Canada, West Coast, East Coast in the US. Ms. Vandermeer has written articles for Classical Singer Magazine and the Swiss publication Harpa. She has been a featured guest on radio stations in the US and Scotland. She is a member of the New York Singing Teachers Association and the American Harp Society.

Vocal techniques for singing pop, musical theatre, classical, baroque, choral, beginning to professional levels, ages 12 - adults.
Harp lessons for beginning to advanced levels of Celtic harp, lever harp and historical harps ages 10 - adult.
Piano lessons for beginning to advanced levels, ages 7 to adult.
Music theory for beginning to advanced levles, ages 12 to adult.
Lesson Rates
$50 for a half hour online lesson or in person lesson.
$85 for a one hour online lession, or in person
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Singing: beginning to professional, ages 12 to adult. Singers learn how to remove vocal strain, how to increase the range, vocal power, stamina, balance of the vocal registers, all aspects of how the voice works, and guidance on how to practice efficiently between lessons.
Harp: beginning to advanced lever harp, and historical harps, ages 10 to adult. Students learn how to play with great techniques, learn repertoire, exercises, how to learn harp music effectively, and much more.
Piano: beginning to advanced, ages 7 to adult. All aspects of piano is taught - repertoire, exercises, technique, music history, musicianshiip skills.
Music Theory: beginning to advanced, all aspects. ages 12 to adult.
