About Me

I am very realtional and love to get to know my students and help them figure out their learning styles. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. I like to help students pick out music that they enjoy and connect with. I want to help you accomplish your musical goals! Teaching people piano for the first time is incredibly exiciting to me.

I have taught piano for six years and have studied piano for over fifteen years. It is my joy to impart the gift of music to others! I am currently a graduate student and my schedule is flexible. I can teacher during the daytime, evenings, or even weekends.

My Musical Education Background

I first started taking piano at six years old and continued for the next 14 years. I graduated with honors from the Zion Conservatory of Music in classical piano in 2015. My favorite classical composers are Debussy and Brahams. I also began to take some lessons and learn some improvisisational music and worship chords at this time. I attended Taylor University which I studied courses in Piano Pedagogy and Piano and vocal performance. There I began teaching beginning piano students which I continued for the next 6 years.

I also performed keyboard and vocals in a musical worship band for four years during college. I continued to take piano lessons and perform at the collegiate level as well. From the age of nine I also began taking vocal lessons and continued intermittantly for the next 10 years. I performed in musical theatre and choir throughout elementary school to High School. I performed roles such as Cinderalla in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Mulan in Mulan Jr., and Annie in Annie Jr. I have performed vocal music at state performances in Italian, French and German. I was selected for the Wisconsin State Honors Choir as a Soprano II in high school. I also sang for two years with the Taylor University Chorale.
