About Me

My name is Kelly and I have loved music all of my life! Part of my continuing love of music is watching students grow in their skills and love of music. The other part of my love of music is when I perform. This helps me reach out to many different kinds of students: Those who wish to learn for their own enjoyment and relaxation, and those who love to perform their musical skills. I have been teaching in public schools as a choral director with a MA in Music Education for over 20 years, as well as active in my church programs. I specialize in voice lessons, beginning and intermediate piano, as well as music theory. I am enjoying very much the WunderKeys for the very young piano student.

If you are a choir student, I can definitely help you get ready for your All-District, Region, and State auditions with sight reading and working on the repertoire and how to do your best when going into the judging room. I always have students in the all state, region, and district choirs. My choirs are also sweepstakes winners in 4A. I can help you not only go through your audition feeling confident, but actually enjoying the process.

I enjoy giving beginning students a solid start in their musical walk and thoroughly enjoy new learners of all ages. I provide a low stress environment and lead students into good study skills that will help in their other core subjects.

My Musical Influences

I grew up in a home filled with music. My siblings and I always sang and played instruments together. Beyond that, all of my choir, voice and piano teachers had a profound influence on my life so much so that I wanted to give that knowledge and love of music to students. So, that is what I do every day of my life..perform and teach music!
