I have been playing the piano for over 50 years and I have taught piano in individual and group settings.
I am an educator by profession and have taught Arts, Music, Drama, Theology and History. I have taught students of all age ranges as well.
I hold three degrees: BA in Theology, BA in History, MA in Classical and Ancient History. Most of my musical training came by way of the Sherwood School of Music in Chicago.
I believe that music is learned and created by those who are motivated by passion and self-love to be creative and that is how I teach it. While becoming 'good' at something requires discipline and time, it must always be driven by a positive view of oneself and what one is capable of bringing into reality.
Thus my lessons, while challenging, are founded on the premise that the artist must feel good about themselves in order to produce true art.
