About Me
I consider myself very fortunate to have found the Simply Music program and I love watching the world of music open up in such a fast, easy, and joyful way with all of my students. I have been playing all my life and the Simply Music methodology has expanded my own personal musicianship beyond anything I ever dreamt was possible. Watching the world of music unfold so quickly and easily with my students and seeing the immmediate joy students experience at being able to play a vast repertoire right away, is life-enhancing for all of us.
My Musical Education Background
I've been playing piano my whole life through traditional approaches. Eight years ago I became trained using the Simply Music methodology and am now a Senior Associate Simply Music teacher and trainer.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Have you heard of the breakthrough Australian Simply Music method that has students of all ages and abilities playing, hands together, 30 to 50 songs of all different styles and genres in their first year? Within 3 months students are regularly surprised that they are already playing eight to ten songs, including blues, classical, contemporary, and accompaniments, as well as composing and improvising!
Simply Music is a comprehensive music learning program that takes students to advanced levels, which include the ability to play anytime and anywhere without music, to read, to compose, to improvise, to read lead sheets, to transpose, to transcribe, to understand integrated theory, etc.
By temporarily postponing reading students are immersed in playing from the very beginning. This play first, read later approach is more natural and has students progressing with ease and speed through a relatively advanced sounding repertoire. Just as children learn to talk before learning how to spell and read, Simply Music students are immersed in the acquisition of playing by playing!

Lesson Rates
Please call for a free introductory session. I'll tell you more about the breakthrough results, how we achieve them, and how Simply Music differs from traditional lessons. I'll demonstrate some songs and teach a song and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have including lesson structure and rates and times.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Most of my students are between the ages of 6 and 80. This program attracts beginners as well as students with previous experience, including advanced players. Advanced students in a typical traditional learning environment are usually only readers and we can expand on that base by teaching people how to improve their reading, how to memorize music easily, how to read lead sheets, and how to transpose, improvise, and compose. My Certifications and Awards
Having immersed myself in the Simply Music methodology and curriculum I have achieved the highest ranking of senior associate teacher. I am certified to teach all the various Simply Music programs including foundational levels, accompaniments (lead sheets), reading, composing, improvising, enhanced theory, jazz, etc.
