About Me

I picked up Guitar in 1976...and very soon after..I started playing Bass Guitar & Piano. I was 17, and Loved Music. My goal pretty quickly, was to play songs from my favorite artists. This quickly grew into wanting to perform on stage & sing as well. In 1986 , I began performing as a Solo Act & in Bands. (Rock, Folk, Jazz & more)

I began Songwriting , simultanously ...Even Composed Music for Tv& Radio Jingles in the mid 90's

My Greatest love is Music..and having the ability to share with others , gives me great joy!!

PIANO- Beginners & Intermediate - Specialized in Teaching those interested in Contemporary Styles (Rock,Pop&Ballads) ./ Accompaniment Style(What you typically hear your favorite artist actually play )-Very Song & Theory Based

.Hands have different roles in Contemporary Accompaniment Styles ,much different from Traditional(Classical). You typically play Chords in Right Hand & Bass in Left Hand..and Sightreading doesn't play as an important role. So Lessons are very Chord & Rhythm based..Built around what you need to perform songs of that genre. NO SIGHTREADING  necessary...But I do help the student in Understanding Music(Theory)...where they can read and decipher Musical scores.

My Musical Influences

Most of my Biggest Musical Influences have been Contemporary - The Beatles , and many other Rock , Pop Artists of the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's.

In 1992 I led a Tom Petty Tribute Band called Petty Theft (Rockford, Il)

From 2000-2015 I performed all over the Country as "John Lennon" in several Beatles Tribute Bands. (Simply Fab, British Export)
