About Me
Maria Wilson has been teaching private guitar and drum instruction for over 20 years in the Harrisburg-Hershey and West shore areas. Maria has studied with some of the greatest guitarists and bassists from Duquesne University, Peabody Conservatory, Towson University and Manhattan School of Music. A significant amount of Maria's students have gone to pursue career in music education, recording technology and have performance careers. Schools such as Belmont University[Nashville], Temple, Middlesex University[England} and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Maria has also had several students who have attended CASA , Capitol Area School of the Arts.
Maria gives the student a solid foundation on there instrument so they can pursue it as a hobby, audition at a music school/college or go into it as a profession.
My Musical Education Background
Maria has been a professional musician since the age of 20 and has toured the coast with here intense instrumental guitar and fingerpicking show. She has 7 albums to her name and has openend up for rock legends Roger McGuinn[The Byrds]Michael McDonald[The Doobie Brothers]Livingston Taylor, Dar Williams and Riders in The Sky.
Maria his a 6 time guitar scholarship winner to Duquesne University's Guitar and Bass School in Pittsburgh PA, she has several guitar and electric bass certificatates. She also holds a certificate in Music Marketing and Audio Technology for Harrisburg Area Community College. She has studied drums and percussion with Scott Powell, Aaron Walker and Jim Ebersole and has been playing and performing since she is 14.
Maria continues to teach privately 3-4 days per week in both Harrisburg areas and Mechanicsburg, performs both solo and with Acoustic Crossover and writes music for RDSD Publishing for t.v and film projects.

Lesson Rates
The rates form lessons are as follows:
Harrisburg Hershey Home Studio-
$85 per month for 4 half hour lessons
$65 per month for biweekly every other week lessons
West Shore Studio-Mechanicsburg-Billy Wray Music Shop
$100 per moth for 4 half hour lessons
