About Me
I have been teaching for over 15 years. My husband, daughter, Sophie, and I moved to Lacey from Minneapolis, MN. We also have a 13 year old cat named Pitch. I had over 40 students in Minneapolis and taught ages 4-adult. I hold a public school teacher certification in K-12 general music and choir. I also am a certified Kindermusik educator and teach music classes for preschools and daycare centers. I absolutely love teaching music to students and especially enjoy teaching beginners. I believe students should enjoy what they are doing and work at their own pace. They may not all become concert pianists but they will develop an appreciation of music that will last a lifetime.
I enjoy shopping, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and eating at lots of great restaurants!

Genres and Subjects Taught
I use the Piano Adventures Series by Faber and Faber. There are four books at each level: lesson, performance, theory and technique. You can pick these up at a local music store or order online at amazon.
Vocal students will purchase a sight-reading and vocal warm-up book from me. Other songs will be photo-copied from my music library. I teach all genres of music. However, I am trained as a classical singer and do not teach belting.
Lesson Rates
Lesson Fees:
$23.50 per lesson (30 minutes)
Payment is due at the first lesson of each month for that month usually amounting to $94. One make-up lesson per semester is granted. Other missed lessons are forfeited and payment is still expected. You are paying for the slot.
