Lisa Maresch was born in Tokyo, Japan, spent much of her childhood in Sydney, Australia and Las Vegas, Nevada-She grew up traveling and developed an eclectic taste in music. From playing the Japanese taiko drums, playing shows on the Las Vegas Strip, to performing classical concerts for outreach programs across the country, she has built a career as solo pianist, collaborator, and an educator.
She has performed in many festivals such as the International Keyboard Institute at the Mannes School in New York, Round Top International Music Festival in Texas, Brevard Music Festival in North Carolina, The Quartet Program in Pennsylvania, to name a few. A guest pianist with the Las Vegas Woodwind Quintet, Arizona Musicfest, Concert Series at St. Margret's, and a member the Blackbird Music Project. She enjoys performing music of contemporary composers and has worked with renown composers such as Virko Baley, John Harbison, and Zhou Long.
Lisa is the founder of the Scholarship Student Showcase for the Warne Scholarship Foundation in Orange County, California, and was a guest for a piano festival in American Samoa. As a strong advocate for music education, she is part of the advisory board for Arquetopia, a foundation for development in music and arts. She was in residency last summer performing concerts with clarinetist Christopher Davis in Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico. Her teaching credentials include teaching full-time at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and as well as an adjunct faculty at Chapman Conservatory of Music and the Orange County High School of the Arts in California.
She is also a member of MTAC.
