While a student, Dr. Kelly's main areas of musical study included Classical Organ with Piano, Vocal Pedagogy, and French Horn. As a California State Teaching Credentialed school music teacher, he taught Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs, and currently has numerous students studying Piano, Organ, Voice, and Music Theory with him.

Genres and Subjects Taught
Lesson are given on a private bassis weekly, extending from 30 to 60 minutes depending upon the interest and developmental readiness of the student.
Dr. Kelly covers the three of areas of Technical Development; Theory, and Literature at every lesson. Advance students also study history and computerized compositional developmental skills. In addition, students are given the opportunity to perform at a major annual recital which is always well attended by friends and familiy. A very popular party is held for all at the conclusion of each recital.
Further advanced student development is fostered by students having the opportunity to participate in annual Local, State, and National performance competitions sponsored by the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA); the Music Educators National Conference (MENC); the National Piano Guild (NPG); the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT); and the American Guild of Organists (AGO). Dr. Kelly is an active member in each organization.
While many students, ages range from 4 yrs old to 86 yrs young, study only for their own pleasure, a number of students have been accepted into select and competitive music programs in major universities.
Students do receive a truly comprehensive educational experience from studying with Dr. Kelly!!
Lesson rates are $20 per half hour for piano lessons, and $25 per lesson for voice, paid in advance each month. Most months have 4 weeks, so that would be $80 ($100 for voice) a month. A couple of times each year there might be a 5th week or lesson in a month, in that case the amount due would be $100, or $125 for voice.
If a lesson is missed for any reason, a make-up lesson is given. The student never loses any money for a missed lesson, but also cannot pay less the following month.
