About Me
Have a degree in piano. Have been teaching about 40 + years. I am invited to judge students for about 3 guilds and have done so in SC, NC, VA, GA, FK, and AL. Currently I am the adult choir director and pianist for a large Methodist Church in Supply, NC.
My Musical Education Background
Have a degree in piano and voice. Have taught for many years in Florida, North and South Carolina, and Virginia. Am asked each year to judge students for several musical organizations in many states.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Teach students from 5 years old to adults.
Lesson Rates
I charge $25 for a 45 minute lesson. Payable by the week or the month in advance. Any music needed by the student will be added to the monthly statement.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
All ages and for those willing to learn. I teach the classical style, with some religious music and some jazz. Theory is also important. Music history is also brought in as a student learns about some of the composers. I teach beginning students up to advanced levels.
My Certifications and Awards
Have a degree in piano and voice from Mars Hill University. Have served as president of several musical organizations.
My Musical Influences
I've been influenced by my family, teachers, and church musicians.
