Music Theory, Piano, Music
Where are Lessons Offered
In Teacher Studio
My two passions in life are music and children, and I love combining those passions in teaching piano. I teach in both Loves Park and the surrounding area. I also teach in Rockford at the YMCA. I have worked with children in various settings for the last 14 years and enjoy finding ways to help each child succeed and have continued motivation for improving their skills and increasing their enjoyment of music.
My Musical Education Background
I graduated with a B.A. in Music Ministry and a minor in Piano Pedagogy. I have taught piano to students ranging in age from 4-adult in both private and group lessons.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Classical. Church music. Popular music. Music theory. Note reading. Ear training.
I am very flexible in what I teach. I want my students to enjoy practicing and allow them choice in what songs they will learn in addition to the pieces I chose that will help them progress.
First student in a family: $17.50 per lesson/$70.00 per month. Each additional student in a family adds $15.00 per week for a half hour private lesson. I prefer payments to be made for the month at the first lesson of the month.

Julie Badowski is a GREAT piano teacher! I'm a music professor at Rock Valley College and have known Julie for many years. In addition to her significant musical gifts, her love for teaching and for her students makes it a joy to send referrals her way!
