About Me
Hi Prospective Piano Student!
Here's a little information about my background. I love music and especially love playing it. If you would like to get started, I can get you going. I started playing piano when I was 5 and took lessons for a couple of years. I am an intermediate/advanced player and can definitely teach you the basics of reading music and playing. I love to play all kinds of music--popular pieces, classic rock, classical, R&B, blues, blue grass . . .
I have a grand piano which is the instrument I teach on.
My Musical Education Background
I grew up with a piano in the living room and lots of music!
Genres and Subjects Taught
Beginning piano and keyboard. All genres, including popular, classical, classic rock, country, R&B, blues, jazz, and blue grass. I also teach music theory.
Lesson Rates
$25 for half hour
$35 for 45 minutes
$45 for hour
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
All ages! Well, age 4 to infinity.
Beginning skill level.
My Certifications and Awards
No certificates or awards. But my piano teacher composed a song for me and published it!
My Musical Influences
One of my greatest musical influences was my father, who played piano until he was 90. He loved to sight read and passed along that passion to me.
