About Me

Professor Douglas Michael Singer is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University (Bachelor of Music, 2004) and the University of Northern Colorado (Master of Music, 2006).

Douglas Singer is the music instructor at Singer Academy, the founder of SingTeam, and the Principal Keyboardist of the Hastings Symphony.

A diverse career employed as a Music Accompanist at Taylor University, Freelance Collaborative Pianist at Ball State University, Composer at Shakespeare Playworks, member of the Jazz Rolle Sextet, and music minister at two churches, has given Douglas Singer a handle on a wide variety of musical styles and skills. For instance, Douglas Singer is equally at home teaching jazz improvisation, worship keyboard skills, and the technique required to play difficult classical repertoire. Douglas Michael Singer's piano teaching technique was taught to him by virtuoso pianist Errol Haun, who in turn was a student of the world famous pianist John Perry.

Douglas Michael Singer is a member of MTNA and NTMA.

Douglas Singer enjoys living in Hastings with his wife Laura and two young children. They attend GraceLife Fellowship.
