About Me
Hi, I am Deb Manchester. I have taught piano for over 20 years. I have had students from ages 4 to 78! I have recently retired from teaching in a district for 24 years. I am looking forward to continuing to work with piano students in my home studio. I am also a church choir director (12 years). I believe each student is unique. I also believe music is an important part of a child's intellectual state and can build confidence. Adults can also gain these traits while having fun as a beginning or continuing student.
My instructions are based on this philosophy. A wide variety of books and tools are available to each student. I offer family discounts & student incentives. My Musical Education Background
Music has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old.
I have taught piano for over 20 years. I have instructed music in our schools (ages 5-14) for over 12 years, including working with children with special needs. I have also directed both our youth & adult church choirs for many years.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Piano is my specialty at this time. With these lessons I include lesson and performance, theory, and technique training. I also encourage students to select additional music that fits their personalities. Scales and chords are
an important part of my instruction as well.
Lesson Rates
My lesson rates vary depending on the length of the lesson and the number of family members taking. I charge $15 a lesson (30 min.). Adult lessons usually run a bit longer at no additional charge. Some lesson books are provided free.

My Certifications and Awards
I have held a state license in music since 1987. I also hold a license in elementary education My experiences as a music/piano teacher are endless. I have not promoted myself as a musician, thus cannot proclaim to have received great awards. The greatest reward is the ability to share my love of music with others.
My Musical Influences
I have worked with thousands of students in the past 20 plus years. This includes over 1100 young people, in a school district, within a one year period. I have taught general music, piano, organ and have directed both youth and adult church choirs. I have also worked with students with disabilities for many years.
