About Me

Hi, 

I'm Darelle Holden and I am a professional vocalist/songwriter and performer. I am also a vocal performance coach and have created a proven framework to help you give your best singing perfomances called Practical Performance. This is a disciplined approach to singing and performing for today's artists.

I am a music professional with over 30 years of experience. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music and also have a B.S. in Communication. I have worked as a professional background singer for such artists as Tom Jones, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. I absolutly love coaching students and helping them find their unique performance and vocal qualities.

My Musical Education Background

Hi, I am graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in vocal perfomance and have a B.S. in Communication. Additionally I am a music professional with over 30 years of experience performing around the world. 

I have been teaching students for 10 years and have recently moved to online teaching only. I teach both vocal technique and performance techniques providing a well rounded approach to singing.  

It is a joy watching students improve skills that transcend singing but also help with overall confidence in every area of their lives.

Lesson Rates

Practical Performance accepts Paypal and Venmo at this time.

All lessons are pre-paid at the time of booking and a 2 lesson minimum is suggested. Because time slots are limited we ask for a 48 hour notice for cancelations. 

Lessons are 45 min. $55 or 30 min $35.

Ages / Skill Levels Taught

All ages and experience levels are welcome. 

Although each lesson plan is broken down into weekly increments we often personalize lessons to accomodate each students level of expertise and each students goals. Students often choose to concentrate on one specific lesson for several weeks depending on his or her objectives.
