About Me

Thank you for your interest in piano lessons! I am a professional pianist and piano teacher with a passion for helping students discover the joy of playing piano. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and of all levels. I'm classically trained with a Master's Degree in piano performance, and I have taught piano students for over 20 years. I tailor my teaching to the students' different learning styles, and to help each student to reach their own unique potential. Over the years, I have created a method that builds a solid foundation both musically and technically which accelerates my students' learning progress. Lessons are professional and fun. Important aspects of music studies such as music theory, technique, sight-reading, and music history are integrated in my lessons with customized learning focus and plans for each student. Music choices are tailored to meet each student's goals and interest, keep them motivated and encouraged. My goal is to not only teach the students to play the music they enjoy, but to give them the tools to appreciate and foster their love for music.
Currently, in consideration of the safety of my students, my lessons are primarily conducted online via Zoom, FaceTime, and Skype. I offer a free online trial lesson for new students. I look forward to hearing from you!

My area of specialty is primary Classical music which is the foundation for all genres of music. Music choices are tailored to meet each student's goals and interest.  Whether your goal is to learn how to play familiar songs, music from the Disney movies, or to be able to play piano at your church, I work with my students to reach their goals in their piano study. Lessons are professional and fun, yet important aspects of music studies such as music theory, technique, sight-reading, and music history are integrated in my lessons with customized learning focus and plans for each student.t.

Lesson Rates

Special introductory lesson rates for new students:

For beginners: One 30 minute lesson per week,  $45/per lesson

For older/intermediate level students: One 45 minute lesson per week $65/per lesson

For advanced students: One 60 minute lesson per week

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and of all levels, from 3-year-olds to 103. I'm classically trained with a Master's Degree in piano performance, and I have taught piano students for over 20 years.

My Musical Influences

I grew up in a family of musicians and started my piano study when I was 5. I'm greatly influenced by the masters of the Classical music, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff, just to name a few. Even though I am a classically trained pianist and piano teacher, I love to listen to different genres of music. I choose music for my students based on their interest and goal, which keeps them encouraged and motivated.

My three kids have loved taking piano lessons with Mrs. Lee! She is such a caring and talented piano teacher. She gives clear instructions so everyone knows exactly what they need to practice every week and what they need to accomplish to make steady progress. She tailors her lessons to each of my kids, and selects music based on their interests and preferences, keeping them motivated, challenged while making learning fun. We recently moved out of town and are very happy to be able to continue our piano lessons virtually.
