About Me
Hi, my name is Rachee' Lombard. I am a christian wife, and mother of three wonderful children.
My Musical Education Background
I studied piano under two amazing and well educated teachers that had their Masters in Music. I myself have no other education, outside of the 8 years of study I did under my own piano teachers, and a 6 week course in Gospel Music education in 1995.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Various genres are taught during lessons as the student progresses, as well as according to what is in there books, and the genres that the student is interested in. Some like classical, other christian, gospel, jazz, and the list goes on. As young children begin, there music is usually a little more on the elementary side of things to keep things on their level. Adult lessons are a lot more versatile in the different genres. As for the subjects taught, all students learn proper Technic, Rhythm, Music Terminology, and Music Theory.
Lesson Rates
30 minute lessons are $15 per lesson. And are scheduled either weekly, or biweekly. First payment is due on the child's first lesson, and then each month on the same date after. If a student commits to weekly lessons, then they receive a $10 discount off each month's tuition for the remainder of their weekly lessons.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Ages taught are 5 yr olds- 105 year old. Beginner- Intermediate, I would recommend advance students find teachers with a Masters in Music, or Piano Pedagogy, only for further education. I do not teach under the age of 5, and recommend that the younger students know there right and left hands, as well as there alphabet and numbers. This is not a must, I have taught students who did not know any of these, it just made their progress a little slower in the beginning.
