About Me
One of my earliest memories is sitting on the piano bench next to my grandfather while he played Lizst at breakneck speed. He died before I turned seven so this is one of my few memories of him. His beautiful baby grand piano has traveled from his home to my parents' and now finally sits in my living room. Music is a language that crosses barriers of age and language and can bring our families together through memories just like mine. I would be thrilled to work through this musical journey with you!
My Musical Education Background
I played the piano throughout my childhood and college. In high scool I competed in piano festivals and performed in public recitals. Since then I have played piano in my church congregation and started teaching five years ago. In addition to my musical background I also have experience as an assistant preschool teacher and teacher's aide. This early childhood education experience gives me a special understanding for both my littlest students and my students with special needs.
Genres and Subjects Taught
By default my students learn the basics of classical piano repertoire -- with a bit of pop and jazz improv for fun!

Individual and group lesson rates available upon request.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I am happy to teach all ages and skill levels from beginners through early advanced piano study.
