About Me
I started teaching piano while in high school and loved it so much I knew I wanted to have my own studio someday. I have 10 years of experience teaching piano and I am a member of SDMTA and MTNA. I am also currently the secretary for SDMTA.
My Musical Education Background
*Bachelor of Musical Arts from the University of South Dakota, with a focus on piano.
*College coursework in piano education.
*Studied under Dr. Skyrm at USD for 6 years
Genres and Subjects Taught
Students are taught a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical to modern.
In addition to technique, students learn sight reading, ear training, music theory and elementary composition.
My studio is based on the belief that my students' individual needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs.
As a member of the MTNA and SDMTA, my students have an opportunity to participate in competitions, festivals and recitals with other MTNA recognized studios.

Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach preschoolers to adults at my studio.
My Certifications and Awards
Recpient of the 2009 MTNA Student Achievement Recognition Award. This award is given to one student per year at participating universities.
My Musical Influences
I have been blessed wonderful teachers in the Sioux Falls area. Most recent of which, I studied under Dr. Skyrm at USD for 6 years.
