I was with Mr. Heffner as a student for...a long time. He was a great teacher. He's very classically oriented but let me dabble with ragtime and blues when I wanted to as an intermediate pianist. I also had a few friends who went to him. One of them became a brilliant musician and is one of the best pianists I know. If you really want to learn MUSIC, he is your man. He himself is a fantastic player and has a ton of passion for music.
