About Me
Seth Bowling is a pianist/instructor/vocalist who is happy to be returning home to Indiana after his time as a student, performer, and instructor in Kansas City, Missouri and Warrensburg, Missouri. He will soon be finishing a double degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy with a vocal emphasis. He also accompanies and sings in many different venues.
Seth has attained a number of accolades including most achieved sophomore at the University of Central Missouri, 1st runner up in the Missouri Music Teacher's Association Upper Collegiate Division. He has served as President and Vice President on the Music Teacher's National Association Student Chapter at UCM and also the piano representative on the Student Advisory Board. Seth has traveled to Music Teacher's National Association Conventions in Austin, Texas and Toronto, Canada, and has performed at Steinway Hall in New York City.
He has taught piano for a decade teaching many different students and studying with revered pedagogue Dr. Karen Taylor of Indiana University, Dr. Mia Hynes of University of Central Missouri, Daniel Schene of Webster University, Dr. Ruth Morrow of Midwestern State University, Christopher Harding of University of Michigan, among others.
Seth enjoys performing and teaching many different styles of music and has performed in many different ensembles, productions, and venues providing him with a well-rounded musical development. He has proudly Sgretsey Piano Trio and the Perfect Fourths Barbershop Quartet at the University of Central Missouri and is always delighted to take on new and interesting projects.
