About Me
Jim Fox Piano Studio offers lessons in the Brentwood/ South Nashville area. Jim Fox has been teaching piano for over 30 years and for 20 years in the Nashville area. Jim holds a BA degree in music/piano from California State University Los Angeles. The lessons are personalized for each individual student interest and talent. Classical, popular and jazz styles are available for the student development. Jim is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Tennessee Music Teachers Association and The Nashville Area Music Teachers Association. BA degree in music- California State University at Los Angeles AS degree in Computer programming
Genres and Subjects Taught
Classical, Popular and Jazz piano. Also music theory and contemporary keyboards.
Lesson Rates
$92 per month for for four 30 minute lessons. 45 minute and 60 minute lessons also available.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I've worked with a large variety of students. From 4 years to 80 years old. Begining, intermediate and advanced levels. I can work with student in the popular, classical and jazz styles.

Member of Music Teachers National Association, Tennessee Music Teachers Association and Nashville Area Music Teachers Association.
My Musical Influences
I have many musical inflences. I have a BA degree in classical piano. As for as jazz my influences are Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner and many others.
Pop and rock my influences are The Beatles, Almond Brothers and Billy Joel.

Mr.Jim Fox is the perfect piano teacher for my daughter! She started her piano lessons with him when she was in Kindergarten. She is in 5th grade now and her love for music and her piano skills grew immensely under Mr.Fox’s able instructions and guidance. He is very encouraging , patient and structures his lessons to fit the needs of every student. He is also very flexible with scheduling lessons and accommodates last minute schedule changes.
