My two daughters, now both in their thirties, took piano lessons from Narissa Bach in their elementary and junior high years. They enjoyed her warm sense of humor, and were motivated by her awesome piano demonstrations. They continue to use the musical training, and the discipline of practice they learned from her in different ways. The older daughter started a feminist cheerleading squad in college for which she composed songs using recycled children's instruments. The younger daughter went on to study vocal performance and composition at St. Kate's, and to record as a back-up singer for local artists. Now I am working with Narissa to figure out when to start appropriate music lessons for my three year old grand-daughter whose is playing and singing the do-re-mi scale on any keyboard she can find, and making up songs strumming an old guitar like it was a string bass.
